Navigate in the window below to get information on where put-in and take-out points are available along with parking.  It should be noted, the map does not include roadside right-of-ways (ROW).  We are currently gathering information to distinguish which areas are suitable for access within ROW, what (if any) parking is available alongside the roads, what the difficulty level is getting to the river, etc.  If you can provide information regarding river access points available to the public please contact us at arkrivercoalition@gmail.com 

 
River flows - River flow is an important feature in a shallow-sandy stream like the Arkansas.  If flow is too high, maneuverability is hampered and floating can be dangerous.  If flow is too low, paddlers will constantly be dragging canoes over sand bars.  Always be cognizant of water temperature too!  Water temperatures below 50°F can induce hypothermia.  The flows below are real-time from USGS gauge stations along the Arkansas River.
